Sludge moisture content is high with this agent?

Sludge is a by-product of municipal sewage treatment. With the acceleration of the urbanization process, the amount of sewage is also increasing, and the output of sludge is also increasing. Sludge moisture content is high, and there are a large number of toxic and harmful substances, if improper disposal, it will produce secondary pollution.

The traditional disposal methods of sludge include landfill, incineration, land use, etc., but their application is limited because of the high water content of sludge and other problems, therefore, reducing the water content of sludge is the key to solve the problem of sludge treatment. In the current sludge treatment, polymer inorganic sewage flocculants are usually added to flocculate and dehydrate it, that is, the bridge flocculation of polymers can neutralize the negative charge on the sludge, increase the cohesion of ions, and improve the dewatering performance of the sludge. However, the actual dehydration effect is not ideal, after the use of inorganic sludge flocculant dehydration, the moisture content of the sludge is still as high as 80%.

So is there no way to lower the water content? Yes, in order to help our customers solve the problem of high sludge moisture content, our Works Chemical research and development department through unremitting efforts, and finally independently developed a sludge synergist to improve the dewatering performance of sludge, and study the mechanism of improving the dewatering performance of sludge. Through a large number of experiments and applications in various industries, Works Chemical's sludge enhancers have been able to effectively reduce the water content of customers to around 40%-60%, and some industries have reduced their sludge water content to 38%.

Sludge enhancer is a kind of chemical agent which can change the surface structure of sludge, reduce the surface load of sludge solid, reduce the specific surface area of sludge and destroy the structure of bacteria. The main components are inorganic compounds, sludge surface structure modifier, degreaser, wall breaking agent, sludge surface treatment agent, sludge stripping agent and so on. Combined with the plate and frame mud press, the sludge moisture content can be reduced from more than 90% to 40%-60%, and the sludge reduction can be fully realized.

The main components of sludge synergists change the surface properties of sludge, reduce the specific surface area of sludge, destroy the cell wall and cell membrane, release intracellular water, and then remove free water, bound water, capillary water and intracellular water in most biochemical sludge.

The sludge conditioned by the use of sludge enhancer is injected into the filter chamber of the filter press at a pressure of about 1.0MP to efficiently filter out the free water in the sludge, and the sludge accumulates in the filter chamber to reach the design capacity of the filter press and enters the high-pressure press link. The final dryness of the press dehydrated sludge is closely related to the effect of chemical conditioning and modification, but also to the filling degree of the filter press chamber, the press pressure rate, the press pressure retention time, etc. The use of high pressure feeding and pressing can shorten the time of the whole press section and improve the production efficiency when the chemical conditioning achieves better results. The automatic discharge and reverse blowing of the filter medium (filter cloth) are completed at the same time, which can not only reduce the labor intensity of the control workers but also improve the efficiency of the completion of the operation, and maintain the effect of the filter cloth intercepting sludge and permeation.
