Plate and frame filter press mud cake sticky filter cloth, high moisture content how to solve?

Filter cloth selection and replacement:

Choose a filter cloth suitable for the characteristics of the material to ensure that the surface of the filter cloth is smooth and not easy to adhere to sludge.

Check the condition of the filter cloth regularly, and replace the worn or blocked filter cloth in time.

Optimize feeding process:

Adjust feed concentration and feed speed to avoid too thick or too fast feed resulting in too high water content of mud cake.

Pretreatment of sludge before feeding, such as adding filter aid or diluting, to improve the filtration performance of sludge.

Filter press operation optimization:

Ensure that the seal of the filter press is good to prevent leakage and foreign impurities from entering.

Appropriately increase the pressure and filtration time of the filter press to increase the solid content of the mud cake and reduce the moisture content.

During the filtration process, the dewatering effect of the mud cake can be further improved by multiple pressing or backwashing.

Use chemical conditioners:

For the sludge that is difficult to dehydrate, an appropriate amount of chemical conditioner (sludge enhancer) can be added, such as polymer flocculant, inorganic salt, etc., to improve the dewatering performance of the sludge.

The use of chemical conditioners (sludge enhancers) needs to be adjusted according to the specific properties of the sludge and dehydration requirements.

Cleaning and maintenance:

Regularly clean the filter press and filter cloth, remove the sludge and impurities attached to it, and keep the equipment in good condition.

Regular maintenance and maintenance of the filter press, such as replacing hydraulic oil, checking electrical components, etc., to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.

Improved mud cake handling:

For the mud cake that has been formed, if the moisture content is still high, secondary pressure filtration or other drying methods can be considered to further reduce the moisture content.

For the subsequent treatment of mud cake, such as composting, incineration, etc., it is also necessary to make appropriate adjustments according to the nature and moisture content of mud cake.

Equipment improvement:

If the above measures are still unable to effectively solve the problem, you can consider improving or upgrading the filter press, such as using more advanced filter cloth materials, optimizing the filter structure, etc., to improve the dehydration effect of the equipment and the quality of the mud cake.

It should be noted that the sludge properties and treatment requirements of each treatment plant are different, so it needs to be adjusted and optimized according to the specific situation in actual operation.
