What agents should be added for sludge deep dewatering?

In the process of sludge deep dewatering, in order to improve the dewatering performance of sludge and improve the dewatering efficiency, it is usually necessary to add some chemicals. The following are some commonly used sludge deep dewatering agents:

Flocculant:

Main function: promote sludge condensation.

Commonly used flocculants include: aluminum sulfate, alum, polyaluminum sulfate, etc.

Adding sequence: In the process of sludge deep dehydration, flocculant should be added first.

Precipitating agent:

Main function: promote sludge precipitation.

Commonly used precipitating agents include: lime, iron powder, aluminum salt, etc.

Adding sequence: After adding flocculant, add precipitating agent.

Digestive:

Main function: to promote the digestion and decomposition of sludge.

Commonly used digesters include: methanol, ethanol, acetic acid, etc.

Order of addition: After precipitating agent, digestive agent is added last.

Polyacrylamide (PAM) :

As a kind of high polymer dehydrating agent, it has strong hydrophilicity and good flocculation performance.

PAM is an organic dehydrating agent, which can be divided into anionic, cationic and non-ionic types according to their ionic properties.

Anionic PAM is often used for the dehydration of tailings water such as coal washing, sand washing and mineral processing, while cationic PAM is often used for the dehydration of paper making, pharmaceutical, urban sewage and industrial sewage.

Sludge deep dehydration conditioner:

Also known as sludge conditioning agent, it contains water purification agent, organic polymer, sludge stripping agent, sludge surface treatment agent, wall breaking agent degreaser, sludge surface structure modifier and other components.

By changing the surface structure of the sludge, the solid surface load of the sludge is reduced, the specific surface area of the sludge is reduced, and the bacterial structure is destroyed, so as to remove most of the free water, bound water, capillary water and intracellular water in the biochemical sludge.

Other agents:

In addition to the above-mentioned agents, there are some other new sludge dewatering agents, such as biological flocculants.

Note:

When adding agents, it is necessary to select the appropriate agent and adding sequence according to the nature of the sludge and the depth of dehydration target.

The amount of additives also needs to be appropriately adjusted according to the nature of the sludge and the treatment target to avoid excessive or insufficient use.

During the addition and use of chemicals, relevant codes and standards should be observed to ensure safe operation and environmental friendliness.

In short, the depth of sludge dewatering needs to consider the nature of the sludge, treatment objectives, cost-effectiveness and other factors, select the appropriate agent and addition sequence, in order to achieve efficient and environmentally friendly sludge dewatering treatment.
