Which agents can improve sludge dewatering performance?

For a long time, problems such as heavy water and light mud, difficult disposal of sludge, and difficult conversion of resources have been difficult problems in the field of water treatment and even environmental protection. The sludge has the characteristics of high water content, high organic matter, fine particles, low density and hydrophilicity, and is easy to be transported by pipeline, but the dewatering performance is poor. At present, the common sludge dehydrating agents on the market are mainly: polyacrylamide, polyaluminum chloride, lime and other traditional sludge dehydrating agents. Although these agents can reduce the moisture content of the sludge, they still cannot achieve deep dehydration of the sludge. The effect is that the water content of the sludge treated with its agent is more than 70%-80%. Secondly, this traditional dehydration agent is not only a large amount, but also causes certain corrosion to the dehydration equipment.

Sludge dehydrating agent is divided into inorganic conditioner and organic conditioner two categories: inorganic conditioner is mainly divided into iron salt and aluminum salt two categories. After adding inorganic conditioner, the thickening process of sludge can be greatly accelerated and the effect of filtration dehydration can be improved. The disadvantage of adding inorganic conditioner is that the dosage is large, and the dosage should reach 5%-20% of the dry solid weight of the sludge, which will lead to the increase of the filter cake volume; Second, the inorganic conditioner itself is corrosive (especially iron salts), and the dosing system should have anti-corrosion properties.

The organic conditioner is mainly polymer polyacrylamide, the amount is 0.1%-0.5%. Different types of sludge, the type and dosage of organic conditioners are also very different. For sludge with high organic content, the more effective conditioner is cationic conditioner, while for inorganic sludge, anionic conditioner can be considered. At present, 80% of the sludge dehydrating agents on the market are organic conditioners. The amount of organic conditioner is small, the amount of sludge is not increased, and the use cost is low.
