The water content of paper making sludge was reduced by using sludge enhancer

The water content of papermaking sludge can be significantly reduced after the use of sludge enhancer. Sludge enhancer is a chemical agent that can change the surface structure of sludge, reduce the solid surface load of sludge, destroy the bacterial structure and other characteristics. Its main components may include inorganic compounds, sludge surface structure modifier, degreaser, wall breaking agent, sludge surface treatment agent, sludge stripping agent, etc. These ingredients work together to improve the dewatering effect of the sludge.

Specifically, after the sludge synergist is mixed with the papermaking sludge, it can rapidly interact with the water and solid particles in the sludge, change the colloidal properties of the sludge and the surface charge distribution, and make the sludge particles more easily aggregate and precipitate. At the same time, the sludge synergist can also destroy the bacterial structure in the sludge, release more bound water, and further reduce the water content of the sludge.

In practical applications, sludge enhancers are usually used in combination with dewatering equipment such as plate and frame filter presses. Through the mechanical pressure of the plate and frame filter press, combined with the chemical action of the sludge synergist, the moisture content of the paper sludge can be significantly reduced from up to 95%-99% to 40%-60% or even lower. In this process, the sludge synergist not only improves the dehydration efficiency, but also shortens the dehydration cycle and reduces the treatment cost.

In addition, sludge enhancers also have some other advantages. For example, it does not need to add auxiliary materials such as lime to achieve a good dehydration effect, thus avoiding lime corrosion of equipment and environmental pollution. At the same time, the sludge treated by the sludge synergist is easier to follow up treatment, such as incineration, brick making or composting, etc., which helps to achieve the "harmless, reduced and resource-based" treatment goal of the sludge.

In summary, after the use of sludge enhancer, the water content of paper sludge can be significantly reduced, while improving the dewatering efficiency and reducing the treatment cost. This is of great significance for papermaking enterprises to reduce the amount of sludge, reduce environmental pollution and save resources.
