From the perspective of sludge recovery rate, sludge enhancers have the following significant advantages over traditional agents:
One. Enhance the efficiency of Sludge dewatering
Sludge enhancers can significantly improve the dewatering efficiency of sludge. By altering the surface structure and properties of sludge, sludge enhancers make it easier to separate and dewater sludge particles, thereby shortening the dewatering time and enhancing the processing capacity of dewatering equipment. In contrast, traditional chemicals have relatively limited effects in improving the dewatering performance of sludge, and often need to be combined with other methods to achieve the desired dewatering effect.
Ii. Reducing the moisture content of sludge
Sludge enhancers can significantly reduce the moisture content of sludge. Generally speaking, sludge enhancers can reduce the moisture content of sludge from over 90% to 40% to 60%, or even lower (such as 35% to 55%), achieving deep dewatering of sludge. This deep dewatering not only helps to reduce the volume and weight of sludge and increase the sludge recovery rate, but also makes the sludge easier to undergo subsequent treatments such as incineration, brick-making and composting. However, when traditional chemicals are used to treat sludge with a high moisture content, it is often difficult to achieve such a low moisture content level.
Iii. Reducing Equipment Wear and Clogging
Sludge enhancers can improve the fluidity of sludge and reduce the wear and clogging of dewatering equipment caused by sludge. As the sludge treated with the sludge enhancer does not stick to the filter cloth, this helps to reduce the frequency of filter cloth replacement in the dewatering equipment and lower the maintenance cost of the equipment. In contrast, the sludge treated with traditional chemicals is prone to sticking to the filter cloth, increasing the complexity and cost of equipment maintenance.
Iv. No corrosive substances need to be added
Sludge enhancers usually can achieve the ideal dewatering effect without the addition of corrosive substances such as lime. This helps protect the dehydration equipment from corrosion and extend its service life. However, traditional chemicals often contain corrosive substances such as lime, which may cause damage to dehydration equipment and increase the operation and maintenance costs of enterprises.
V. Increase the Solid Content of Sludge
Sludge enhancers can make solid particles in sludge aggregate more easily, thereby increasing the solid content of sludge. This not only helps to increase the sludge recovery rate, but also benefits the subsequent sludge treatment and disposal. However, the effect of traditional agents in improving the solid content of sludge is relatively limited.
