
At the sludge dewatering site, the "soft core" phenomenon is a major concern for many enterprises: the surface of the filter cake after pressing appears dry, but its interior is in a plastic-like state and even shows water seepage. This not only fails to achieve the goal of reducing sludge volume but also increases the environmental protection risks during the sludge transportation process. The Works Chemical technical team conducted extensive on-site investigations and experimental analyses, and identified the core cause of the "sludge core" phenomenon: the bound water in the sludge was not completely released. Traditional conditioning processes were unable to effectively break the bound water structure of the sludge particles, resulting in moisture remaining inside the sludge cake, creating a state of "dry on the outside and wet on the inside". To address this core issue, the research team started from optimizing the chemical formula and through upgrading the modification technology, developed a special conditioning agent that could precisely break the sludge colloid structure and fully release the bound water, thereby fundamentally solving the "sludge core" problem.
Meanwhile, Works Chemical New Materials adheres to the concept of "synergistic optimization of reagents and processes", adjusting the operation process of the belt press filter based on the nature of the sludge and the equipment parameters of different enterprises. This ensures the optimal matching of reagents and equipment, and enables more thorough and uniform moisture removal of the sludge during the filtration process.
